- Knowledge: Teachers know and understand that children bring an awareness of social issues and apply it to their understanding of the world around them. Teachers understand that identity development is built early and reinforced through messages children see modeled in their lives and in the media.
- Skills: Teachers will work to address current anti-bias issues in a developmentally appropriate, equity-based way.
- Mindset: Teachers believe taking a proactive stance, discussing difficult events in age-appropriate language can help children feel safer and more secure.
